Why mongoosemom?
The mongoose is my favorite animal. It is cute, furry, and cuddly-looking. But it kills. Cobras and other deadly snakes. So, I would like to be like that. To love truth and goodness so much that I fight fiercely against any evil that threatens to harm those I love. Remember Rikki Tikki Tavi? He was the mongoose that saved the boy and his family by killing an entire family of cobras in the fascinating adventure by Rudyard Kipling.

I too love mongooses! (mongeese ??) One of my favorite OLD songs is Rikki-Tikki-Tavi by donovan (who is so old, only your Dad & I would remember him!)

I love Rikki Tikki Tavi! It is fascinating. I can’t imagine living like that. There’s an animated version also, that I remember coming on t.v. when I was a kid. The edition of the book with illustrations by Jerry Pinkey is wonderful.

Wow!!! Mongeese rock. Can’t believe how fearless they are with the cobras. My cat Daisy hunts snakes; so maybe she has similar DNA as the mongoose?

Well for one thing, snakes are not evil. Snakes are just as beneficial, if not more, than mongooses to mankind. More snakes are beloved as pets than mongooses in today’s society. I own a ferret, so don’t get me wrong, I love mongooses too. Try to go pet this cute and cuddly little animal and see what happens….
